Memory

MUCH longer memory prompt

A full continuity record with turning points, relationships, nicknames and the rules that stop the story resetting.

Same idea as the shorter one, with a lot more structure: the big turning points, a timeline, relationships, nicknames, and rules that stop the bot treating old events as new. Send it as an out-of-character message and copy the record it writes into the chat’s memory.

Fair warning: SRSLY SO LONG. YOU SHOULD DELETE HALF OF THIS. Keep the sections your story uses and cut the rest.

((OOC: Review the entire RP story, including all established memory and the most recent developments. Create an updated permanent continuity record that preserves the full storyline without resetting, contradicting, or treating established details as new.

Use only events actually established in the RP. Do not invent missing information.

## PART 1: ANCHOR MOMENTS

Identify the 10–15 most important irreversible turning points in the story. These should be moments that meaningfully changed a character, relationship, conflict, or plot direction and would be important to recall later.

Format each:

## [ANCHOR: Descriptive Factual Name]

**Contextual Triggers:** [3–5 comma-separated factual situations/topics that should make this memory relevant]
**Participants:** [Characters involved]
**Location/Time:** [Where and when it occurred]
**Direct Quote/Action:** [Exact quote if available, otherwise the specific established action]
**Immediate Consequence:** [What changed immediately afterward]
**Long-term Significance:** [Why this still matters to the story]

### Anchor Rules

* Anchor names must be factual and specific, not poetic or thematic.
* Include character names and concrete actions whenever possible.
* Contextual Triggers are mandatory.
* Generate triggers by asking: **“In what future story situations would the AI need to remember this?”**
* Prioritize irreversible developments, revelations, decisions, betrayals, commitments, major conflicts, relationship changes, shared trauma, important promises, and lasting consequences.
* Do not waste anchors on ordinary conversations or events that did not change anything.
* Do not create multiple anchors for the same event unless they represent genuinely separate consequences.

## PART 2: PERMANENT STORY & RELATIONSHIP RECORD

Using the Anchor Moments above plus all other relevant established continuity, write one consolidated record under these exact headings.

### [CORE] STORY TIMELINE

Summarize the complete storyline chronologically from beginning → middle → current events.

Integrate earlier events and recent developments into one continuous account. Do not restart the story from the newest scene or omit older established events.

### [CORE] FOUNDATION & ORIGIN

* Original relationship/dynamic between {{char}} and {{user}}
* First meeting in 10 words or fewer
* First meaningful moment of trust
* What {{user}} did that challenged or changed {{char}}'s original assumptions about them, friendship, relationships, or intimacy

### [CORE] MILESTONES & TURNING POINTS

List the defining relationship and plot milestones in chronological order, one concise line each.

Include only meaningful events such as:

* Major conflicts
* Choosing each other over self-interest
* Important promises
* Gifts with lasting significance
* Relationship changes
* Leaving former lifestyles or loyalties behind
* Near-death experiences
* Shared trauma
* Major revelations
* Commitments
* Breakups/reconciliations
* Other irreversible changes

Do not duplicate the full Anchor entries here. This section should function as a concise milestone index.

### [CORE] CHARACTER ARCS & EMOTIONAL SHIFTS

Summarize how {{char}} has changed throughout the story.

Summarize how {{user}} has changed based only on established observable actions and choices. Do not invent {{user}}'s internal thoughts or motivations.

End with the current emotional state and dynamic between them.

### [CORE] RELATIONSHIP MAP

Record the current relationship between:

**{{user}} ↔ {{char}}:** relationship type, defining traits, emotional tone, major tensions, commitments, and unresolved issues.

Then include each important side character:

**{{user}} ↔ [Name]:** current dynamic, history, loyalty/tension, unresolved issues.

**{{char}} ↔ [Name]:** current dynamic, history, loyalty/tension, unresolved issues.

Only include side characters who currently matter to continuity.

### [CORE] TERMS OF ADDRESS

List all established nicknames, pet names, titles, and recurring terms of endearment.

Format:

**{{user}} → {{char}}:** "[term]" — [established usage/context]

**{{char}} → {{user}}:** "[term]" — [established usage/context]

Include relevant side-character terms if important.

Treat recurring terms as already established. Never describe an established pet name as being used “for the first time” again unless the story explicitly records that original first use.

### [CORE] PHYSICAL & INTIMACY PROGRESS

Maintain this as cumulative continuity, not a list of new events.

Record only acts actually established in the RP.

* First kiss: [yes/no + brief original context]
* Kissing: [established status/frequency if known]
* [Established act]: [known count or “established/repeated” if an exact count cannot be verified]
* [Established act]: [count/status]
* Furthest milestone reached: [state clearly]
* Current physical/intimacy dynamic: [brief summary]

Never reset counts.

Never call something a “first” if an earlier instance is already established.

If an exact count cannot be reliably determined from the story, say **“multiple/established”** rather than inventing a number.

### [CORE] IMPORTANT FLASHBACKS

Record past moments that characters actively remember, reference, revisit, dream about, or use as emotional touchstones.

Format:

**[In-story date / RP day if known] {{char}} remembers:** [moment]

**[In-story date / RP day if known] {{user}} recalls/references:** [moment]

Do not invent dates. If no date is established, use a clear chronological marker such as “early relationship,” “after [event],” or “before [event].”

## CONTINUITY RULES

1. Treat everything already recorded as established history.
2. Never re-frame an established event, nickname, sexual milestone, revelation, promise, relationship status, or recurring behavior as new or first-time.
3. Preserve earlier continuity when incorporating newer developments.
4. Do not overwrite old facts simply because newer scenes are more recent.
5. If circumstances changed, record the progression: **previous state → event/change → current state.**
6. Do not invent {{user}}'s thoughts, emotions, motivations, dialogue, or actions beyond what actually occurred in the RP.
7. Do not invent quotes. If exact wording is unavailable, describe the established action instead.
8. Do not guess exact intimacy counts, dates, or chronology when they cannot be verified.
9. Prefer specific factual descriptions over vague emotional summaries.
10. Avoid repeating the same information across multiple sections unless necessary for continuity.
11. Preserve unresolved conflicts and dangling plot threads instead of quietly resolving them.
12. The final record should describe the story **as it currently exists**, while retaining the history needed to understand how it reached this point.))
